Bernice M. (Hall) Pynn, age 90, a former resident of Ashland, died peacefully on September 29, 2013 at Newton-Wellesley Center for Alzheimers Care. She was the daughter of Hugh and Daisy Hall. Bernice grew up in Malden, MA. She was the wife of 61 years to the late Walter (Wally) Pynn, who died in 2004. Bernice worked for many years at Jordan Marsh, Shoppers World, Framingham as a sales associate. Bernice and Wally lived in Lincolnville, Maine and Tallahassee, Florida before returning Ashland. They developed many friendships along the way. Her greatest pleasures were knitting, gardening, traveling, walking and spending time with family. She also loved animals, her favorites were cats and dogs. Bernice is survived by two daughters; Sandra and husband Tom Ferris of Ashland, Susan and husband Brian Snow of Amherst, NH. Three granddaughters; Heather and husband Josh Korpi, Amy and husband Dave DeMeglio, all of Milford, MA and Carsten Snow of Jamaica Plain, MA, and four great-grandchildren; Aubrey and Aaron Korpi and Andrew and Brody DeMeglio. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, on Tuesday, October 8th at 9am followed by a memorial service in the Matarese Chapel at 10am. The Rev. Philip LaBelle, St. Marks Episcopal Church, Southborough, will officiate. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland, MA.
