Not sure what to say?

Our most famous and respected cousin.
Friends of ours that went to Ceighton
spoke of him fondly.

Our sympathy to Mary Jean and the family for their loss. Another gift for coming to Omaha in 1971 and getting to cross paths in life with Red. Red left all of us with delightful memories & stories. Thanks Mary Jean and your family for letting us share such special time with Red.

To the Family of Coach John ''Red'' McManus, I have so many cherished memories of this gentle man that I would hardly know where to start. This year during March Madness it was Coach K from Duke University that offered some kind words about this legendary college coach. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire McManus family during this time of the spritual celebration of the life John ''Red'' McManus. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

My deepest sympathy to Mary Jean and the McManus family. Red was certainly, Mr. Basketball at Creighton. He will be missed by all of us. RIP coach.
Proud to have played for him.

I just loved Uncle Red. He was a great man so respected in the community. I will miss talking to him at family holidays. He loved being around the family and we loved being around him. Uncle Red will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to my Aunt Mary jJean, cousins Jack, Kevin, Mimi along with the grand kids, Tracy and Anan.

Red was our oldest daughters God-father - have known him for way over 50 years - stories abound - he used to always call if he was at the Milwaukee airport - never enough time to see each other - always together when he played Marquette - Sorry for your loss - heaven's gain - Love Bill and Anne Crowley

I knew Red for many, many years. He was an outstanding Coach at Creighton, a darn good football referee, and a gentleman at all times. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Bob Murray Retired Basketball Coach Omaha North

So sorry to hear of Red's passing. He was a dear friend of the family with many fond memories. Our prayers are with all of you.
