Florence E. (Porzio) Belforti, 96, of Milford, died June 16, 2013, at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Frederick P. Belforti for 72 years. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Giovani and Theresa (Cristella) Porzio. She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1934. She retired in 1978 from Porter Shoe in Milford, where she had worked as a stamper. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and the Sacred Heart Womens Club. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Frederick P. Belforti of Quakertown, PA, and her sister Mary Villani of Milford.Her Funeral Service will be held from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.Visiting hours will be held Friday evening June 21st from 5-8PM. Please visit www.consigliruggeriofuneralhome.com

Mrs. Catherine M. (Kearnan) Costigan, 92, of Milford MA, died Monday morning (June 17, 2013) at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles T. Costigan, who died in 1994. Mrs. Costigan was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late John and the late Margaret (Burns) Kearnan. She attended Milford public schools and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1938. She was also a graduate of the former Becker Junior College, Class of 1940. Mrs. Costigan had been employed at the former Werber & Rose Furniture Store and the former Kennedy Store, located on Main Street in Milford. She was a lifelong resident of Milford and a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and member of the churchs Catholic Womens Club. Mrs. Costigan is survived by 3 Daughters: Mrs. Ann M. Schuler of Milford MA, Charlene, wife of John McGowan of Milford MA and Sharon, wife of Daniel Sheehan of Douglas MA; 5 Sons: Robert Costigan and his wife Denise of Milford MA, Dr. Richard Costigan and his wife Dr. Laurie Costigan of Shrewsbury MA, David Costigan of Northbridge MA, Steven Costigan of Milford MA and John Costigan of Milford MA; 22 Grandchildren; 20 Great Gandchildren; 2 Sisters: Mary, wife of Retired Police Chief William McRobert of Hopkinton MA and Mrs. Margaret Jones of Milford MA; also many nieces and nephews, Mrs. Costigan was the mother of the late William J. Costigan, who died in 2007; the sister of the late John Kearnan and the late Robert Kearnan; and was the mother-in-law of the late Francis Mickey Schuler Jr. Her funeral will be held Thursday (June 20th) at 9:30am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday (June 19th) from 5pm to 8pm. Please visit www.edwardsmemorialfuneralhome.com for condolence book. Helen A. Moynihan, 86, of Brattleboro, VT, and formerly of Milford, MA. died Sunday evening (June 16, 2013) at the Thompson House in Brattleboro, VT after a period of declining health. Joan M. (Curran) Senese, 83, of Franklin died June 15, 2013 in her home. She was the wife of the late Louis Senese who died in 1967. Born in Somerville, March 14, 1930, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Ahern) Curran, Mrs. Senese was raised in South Boston and had lived in Boston for many years prior to moving to Franklin 40 years ago. Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother. Joan spent most of her career in the food industry then transitioned into retail. While in retirement, Joan was a member of the Franklin senior center and enjoyed playing bingo. An avid lover of Irish music, her Irish eyes were always smiling. She is survived by her children Louis Senese and his wife Audrey of Sandwich and Brenda Hawkes and her late husband John Hawkes of Franklin. She was the sister of the late Thomas, John "Noel" and Frank Curran. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle, Marlene, Michael, Mark, William, Acadia, Angela and Jude. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 19 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street in Franklin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Franklin. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Franklin Food Pantry, 43 West Central Street, Franklin, MA 02038.

Jeannette L. (David) Shaheen, 102, of Mendon, died Monday, June 17, 2013 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Shaheen, who died in 2000. Mrs. Shaheen was a longtime member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and that Church's Women's Guild. She was Mendon's oldest resident. She enjoyed Middle Eastern cooking and was known for her hospitality. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and knitted for the Prison Fellowship Ministry for many years. Jeannette read, spoke and wrote Ancient Arabic and served as an interpreter. She was born August 5, 1910, in Central Falls, RI, daughter of the late Michael (Eirouth) David and Nabeha (Barrakat) David. She had been a resident of Pawtucket, RI before moving to Mendon in 1968. She is survived by one son, Dennis S. and his wife, Jean Shaheen and one daughter Beverly N. Shaheen all of Mendon, 5 grandchildren, Michelle Shaheen, LoriAnn Shaheen, Jessica Shaheen, Deborah Flanagan, and Danielle Shaheen, who were the light of her life; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life with Eucharist will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10 AM in Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress St. Milford. Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 from 8:30-10:00 AM, prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, 200 Armistice Blvd. Pawtucket, RI.
