Francis B. Schuler Jr.MILFORD Mr. Francis B. "Mickey" Schuler Jr., 73, of Milford MA, died Wednesday (March 6, 2013) at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Ann M. (Costigan) Schuler. Mr. Schuler was born in Lansing MI, the son of the late Francis B. and the late Marjorie (Mead) Schuler. He was a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1957 and also attended school at the American Institute of Banking, located in Boston. Mr. Schuler was a Viet Nam Era veteran having served in the US Air Force
from 1957 to 1963. Mr. Schuler was first employed at Household Finance Corporation located in Boston. He then served as a loan officer at Framingham Savings Bank for a number of years. He then worked as a financial consultant and planner for various insurance companies serving New England. Mr. Schuler then served as a security officer for various companies in the Framingham area, and lastly for the Milford Regional Medical Center. Mr. Schuler was the number one fan to all of his grandchildren, always supporting their various sporting and cultural activities. Mr. Schuler volunteered for many years as a coach for the Milford Youth Hockey League and for the Milford Youth Baseball League. Along with his beloved wife of 49 years, he is survived by 4 Children: Kathleen M., wife of John Nogueira of Milford MA, Peter F. Schuler of Milford MA, Taryn L., wife of Richard Antalek of Douglas MA, Kevin J. A. Schuler and his wife Julie of Milford MA; 10 Grandchildren: Lindsey, Brian and Matthew Nogueira of Milford MA; Peter, Jane, Katherine and Nicholas Schuler of Milford MA; Charles Schuler of Milford MA; Courtney and Meghan Antalek of Douglas MA; 1 Sister: Joanne Schuler Moulton and her husband Timothy R. of Lady Lake FL; 2 Brothers: Charles R. Schuler and his wife Susan of Myrtle Beach SC and David Schuler of Lewes DE; several nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law: Mrs. Cathherine Costigan of Milford MA. His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Monday (March 11th) at 11am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday (March 10th) from 4pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
