Audrey J. (Smith) O'Hayre, age 77, a resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Richard D. O'Hayre who died in 1971. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Mabel Veronica (Stevens) Smith. Mrs. O'Hayre was a graduate of LaSalle College in Newton. She went on to work as a data analyst for Raytheon in Marlborough and Sudbury. She most recently worked as a starter at Stoneybrook Golf Course in Southborough. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, she was an avid gardener. She is survived by her children Natalie O'Hayre and her husband Matthew Brassard of Worcester, Richard (Dan) O'Hayre of Upton and Christopher O'Hayre of Providence, R.I. She is also survived by her grandchildren Shannon and Cullen O'Hayre both of Upton and Patrick Brassard of Worcester. She was the sister of the late Kenneth V. and Donald J. Smith, and Barbara Taylor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday November 26, at 1:30 pm at the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton Center. Burial will follow in the family lot at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave) Framingham.
