Obituary Condolences

Mr. Charles L. Piscia, 85, of Milford MA, died Monday (October 14, 2013) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was the husband of the late Doreen (Scott) Piscia. Mr. Piscia was the son of the late Luigi and the late Mary (Beltramini) Piscia, also of Milford. He graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1945. He was a Boys State representative and class treasurer. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and then attended Merrimack College in Andover MA, where he received a bachelors degree in Economics. He also attended Boston College for his Masters Degree in Business. In 1953 he married his late wife Doreen, a longtime nurse at Milford Hospital and the Franklin Health Center. Mr. Piscia was employed for over thirty years by the Gillette Corporation as a director of marketing research. Mr. Piscia leaves behind his 3 Children: Charles R. Piscia and his wife Linda (Nogueira) Piscia of Milford MA, Joanne (Piscia) Army and her husband Peter Army of Sutton MA, Susan (Piscia) Richards and her husband Stuart Richards of Fredericksburg VA; Mr. Piscia also leaves behind 9 Grandchildren: Austin, Aaron and Alex Piscia, Scott and Christine Army, and Shelley, Shauna, Suzy and Sabrina Richards. Mr. Piscias grandchildren were his greatest joy and the primary focus of his retirement years. He loved music and was known in the Milford area for his avid interest in local school sports. The children have lost their father, the grandchildren have lost their Papa, and the world has lost a wonderful man. His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Wednesday (Oct 16th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Upper Church), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Wednesday (Oct 16th) from 10:30am to 11:30am, prior to his Funeral Mass.
