Daniel E. Gilmore, III, 44, of Millville, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at home. He was recently employed as a clinical consultant with Handicare USA, Allentown, PA. Previously, he was an EMT for several years in the Milford area, a dispatcher with Chaulk Ambulance in Natick, and had worked for Liko, Inc. in Franklin. Mr. Gilmore was born Aug. 24, 1968 in Norwood, the son of Daniel E. Gilmore, Jr. and B. Joyce (Skerry) Gilmore of Mendon. He was a graduate of St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, attended Westfield State University, and was a graduate of the LPN program through the Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton. Daniel served on the Millville Conservation Commission for 5 years and also initiated and hosted Millville's Earth Day town cleanup. He was an assistant Scoutmaster for Pack 21 Boy Scouts of America in Millville and enjoyed bicycling. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son Patrick D. Gilmore; a daughter Lauren E. Gilmore, both of Millville; his wife Mary C. (Laurence) Gilmore; a sister Kathleen and her husband Jeffrey Cormier of Mendon; several nieces and nephews including Abigail Cormier and Emily Cormier, and many dear and close friends including Steve, Marshall, Mike and Gary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 11 AM in the Unitarian Congregation of Mendon, 13 Maple St., Mendon, preceded by visiting hours from 9-11 AM in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilmore Children Educational Fund, c/o Milford National Bank, 300 East Main St., Milford, MA 01757.
