Frances H. (Ryder) Libbey, 95, of Milford passed away Sat. March 29, 2014 in the Blaire House of Milford. She was the wife of the late Arah Libbey who died in 1986. A resident of Milford for 7 years and previously of Upton for over 60 years, Mrs. Libbey was employed as an assembler for Fenwall Corporation in Ashland for five years. Previously, she was a caregiver to several Upton families including the Kartiganer's and Poirier's. She was born June 7, 1918 in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late William and Melora (Frances) Ryder and was a graduate of Cobleskill High School, Cobleskill, NY. She loved Bingo, the Boston Red Sox, and possessed a vast knowledge of cars. She was also a member of the former Congregational Church in Upton. The family would like thank the complete staff and especially Lori and Lesley at Blaire House and the hospice team of N.E. Hospice for their care and compassion. Mrs. Libbey is survived by her sons Kenneth R Libbey and Bradford and his wife Maria Libbey, all of Upton; daughter Phyllis J. Winn of Milford; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Karen Heinis of Upton and her brother Luke Ryder. Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Milford Food Pantry, 21 Exchange St., Milford, MA 01757.
