Frederick Locke Obituary
Frederick Locke, 50, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Portsmouth, NH on October 20, 1961 he was the son of Howard and Nora Locke Sr. Fred was a graduate of Portsmouth High School Class of 1980 where he was captain of the Football, Basketball and Baseball teams. He attended New England College and Plymouth State College and played baseball at both schools. He served in the US Army from 1983 to 1986 and received the Army Achievement Medal. He began his successful career in the automobile business in 1987, and served as sales manager for Toyota/Lexus in New Hampshire and Massachusetts during his tenure, retiring in 2010. Fred had a great love of family, the ocean, playing golf and was an avid sports fan. In addition to his parents of Portsmouth survivors include his wife, Wendy (Warren) Locke, stepchildren Brandon, Chad, Taylor, Ava, and Alayna, his brother Howard Locke Jr., and his sister Lisa Locke and husband Brian Charbonneau. Services: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State Street, Portsmouth, NH. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8, at 10 AM at the Middle Street Baptist Church, 18 Court Street, Portsmouth, NH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, or at www.dana-farber.org.
