Irene (Barsamian) Felton, 88, of Milford died peacefully on December 23, 2013 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester where she was loved and comforted by the caring staff. She was the wife of the late Robert Felton who died in 2008. She was born in Framingham; daughter of the late Stephen & Altoon Barsamian. She was raised & educated in Milford and graduated from Milford High School with honors. Following graduation she was employed at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale where she first met her husband. Later on she worked for many years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Milford office of Employment Security from which she retired . Irene was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford, the woman's auxiliary of Armenian American Veterans Associations, the former Granite Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Irene enjoyed being with her family and friends, dancing, singing, and traveling with her husband Bob. She is survived by a son Stephen Felton and his wife Jane of Ashland, NH, two daughters Janet Curran and her husband Robert of Kennett Square, PA, and Carol Miller and her husband Douglas of Barre, MA, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A celebration of life with eucharist will be held on Saturday, December 28 at 12 noon in Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress St. Milford. Burial will be private. A visitation period will be held in the church one hour prior to the funeral from 11:a.m. to 12 noon.
