Mary E. "Ma" (Palladini) Penque 85, of Franklin, died Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, surrounded by her family following an illness. She was the wife of the late John Penque who died in 1971. Born in Franklin, April 16, 1927 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Matilda (Frasca) Palladini, she was a lifelong resident of Franklin. She was raised and educated in Franklin, and worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 25 years at the former Hillcrest and Maryland Nursing Homes in Franklin and Medway. She was a devoted mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, crossword puzzles, and watching game shows. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin. She is survived by 2 sons, Ernest A. Penque and his wife Kathleen of Franklin, Steven P. Penque and his wife Mary of Wrentham, 2 daughters, Verna A Sherman and Lori A. Killoy and her husband Stephen all of Franklin, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren & many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John Penque, and sister of the late Frederick, Americo, Romeo, Frank, Joseph Palladini and Edith Slavin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday Dec. 8th, at 11:45AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. at 12:30PM. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital P.O. Box 3704 Memphis, TN 38173-3704.
