Miss Pauline "Tillie" F. Holland, 87, of Milford, MA. died Friday evening (December 6) at the Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health. She was born in Milford, MA., the daughter of the late Edward A. and the late Esther P. (Mongiat) Holland and was a life-long Milford resident. Miss Holland attended the Milford public schools and graduated from Milford High School in 1944. She later graduated from the former Milford Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. She was employed as a registered nurse for (42) years at the Milford Hospital and was voted in 1978 as the "Woman of the Year" by the Milford Junior Womens' Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting, and crocheting. She leaves (1) sister, Esther "Tootsie" P. Deletti of Hopedale, MA.; (1) brother. Edward A. Holland and his wife, Elaine, of Hopedale, MA.; several nieces and nephews. Miss Holland was the sister of the late Catherine Holland who died in 1997. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday morning (December 10) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home (please visit www.edwardsmemorialfuneralhome.com for condolence book) 44 Congress Street Milford, MA. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church 19 Winter Street Milford, MA. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery on Cedar Street (Rte. 85) Milford, MA. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30AM-10:30AM just prior to her funeral Mass.
