Virginia M. (Morrill) Taylor, 74, formerly of Hopedale passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Oak Knoll H.C.C of Framingham. She was the wife of the late Hopedale Police chief Robert B. Taylor, Jr. who died in 2009. Virginia was an executive assistant for the Draper Corp., Digital Equipment Corp. and 3Com prior to her retiring. She was born February 23, 1940 in Milford, the daughter of the late Lester and Shirley (Wilson) Morrill. She was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1958. Virginia loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music, antiquing and going to the beach. Virginia loved Christmas and took great pleasure in caring for her pets and helping other people. Virginia is survived by one son, Donald L. DiLorenzo; one daughter Tracey L. and her husband Richard Brooks; two step-sons, Robert B. Taylor III, and Gary Taylor; two brothers Robert and his wife Amy Morrill of Hopedale, and Wayne and his wife Linda Morrill of Mendon; three sisters, Linda and her husband Richard Harty of Milford, Patricia Smith of Milford, and Barbara and her husband Edward Simmons of Plymouth; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Morrill, her step-mother, Arlene (Reynolds) Morrill, and one grandson, Christopher D. DiLorenzo. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2-4 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford. A Celebration of Life with Eucharist will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11 AM in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress Street, Milford.
