Obituary Condolences

Elizabeth A. Ryden, 59, of Milford passed away Mon. April 21, 2014 in Genesis Healthcare of Milford. In her last days she was surrounded by family, friends, and the wonderful nurses and staff that loved her and cared for her. She passed peacefully and comfortably in her sleep after a long battle with healthcare problems. Elizabeth had been a flight attendant for American Airlines stationed in New York. She had also done some acting and modeling in California before moving to Massachusetts. Here, she became a full time stay at home mother to her two daughters, and many of their friends. She loved to laugh, loved to cook, was very funny, extremely creative, and easily made people feel welcome and comfortable in her home. "Liz" enjoyed making stain glass for jewelry and window art, among other things. She loved to show off her work at different craft fairs. She was born on December 17, 1954 in Garden City, NY the daughter of Paul N. and Lura (WhiteNack) Ryden. In addition to her parents, Paul and Lura of San Jose, CA, she is survived by her daughter, Jennifer D. MacKenzie and her fianc Richard Cannon both of Franklin; a brother, Paul and his wife Vicky Ryden of Duluth, GA; and a niece, Lindsey Ryden of Duluth, GA; and father of her two children, David F. MacKenzie of Mendon. She was predeceased by her daughter, Holly L. MacKenzie. Visiting hours will be held Sun., April 27, 2014 from 2-3 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress Street, Milford. Followed by the funeral service at 3 PM in the funeral home.
