Wilfred Fowler, 90, of Upton passed away Tues. April 22, 2014 in the Metro West Medical Center, Framingham. He was the husband of the late Helen (Stevenson) Fowler who died in 2006. Mr. Fowler was the co-owner and operator of Cott Beverages Distributor in Upton for over 20 years until his retirement in 1988. He was born Sept. 29, 1923 in Whitinsville, son of the late Frank and Geraldine (Mitchell) Fowler. He grew up in Whitinsville and lived in Upton for more than 40 years. Wilfred moved to Texas in 1990 returning to Upton in 2004. Mr. Fowler had served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a member of the Upton VFW # Post 5594 and the former Granite Lodge of Masons in Whitinsville earning his 50 year pin from the Hondo, TX Lodge of Masons A.F. & A.M. Wilfred is survived by one son Daniel F. and his wife Julie Fowler of Holliston, one daughter Kathleen E. Fowler and her wife Carrie Haug both of Whitinsville and two grandchildren; Rebecca Fowler and Abigail Fowler both of Holliston. He was predeceased by four brothers; Gerald Fowler, Frank Fowler, Theodore Fowler and Earl Fowler and one sister Phyllis Perry. A Masonic service will be held Sat. May 10, 2014 at 11:45 AM in the BUMA SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford. Visiting hours will be held on Sat. May 10, 2014 from 12 noon to 1 PM in the funeral home followed by a funeral service with full military honors at 1 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, N.
