Roberto J. Tempesta Obituary
Roberto J. Tempesta, 70, of Milford passed away Sat. Aug. 16, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Hamilton) Tempesta. A resident of Milford for 41 years, he owned and operated Ice Cream Specialty Company in Walpole for 15 years. Previously, he had worked for Seilers Food, Waltham. He was born in Newton in 1944, the son of the late Constanza and Philomena (Dinino) Tempesta and was a graduate of Newton High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Tempesta loved time spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling. In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his three sons Michael C. and his wife Ramona Tempesta of Milford, Kevin J. and his wife Melissa Tempesta of Mendon, and Daniel R. and his wife Michelle Tempesta of Watertown; his siblings Marianne and her husband Anthony Lochiatto of Newton, Loreto Tempesta of Waltham, and Pellino "Billy" Tempesta and Judy Zbar of Sharon; seven grandchildren Benjamin, Julia, Caroline, Luke, Jack, Sean, Eric; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be Wed. Aug. 20, 2014 from 5 - 8 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will be held Thursday Aug. 21, 2014 at 11 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Mary's Church, 19 Winter St., Milford.
