Lloyd V. OConnor, 90, of No. Andover and formerly of Hopedale passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 in Baker-Katz Nursing Home, Haverhill. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Hullah) OConnor who died in April. He was a retired mechanical inspector at Raytheon Corp., Waltham for 19 years and had been a resident of Hopedale for 20 years prior to moving to No. Andover last year. He had also lived in Millis for many years. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, playing golf, and traveling to Hampton Beach with his wife | where they met. A veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy and participated in the Normandy Invasion. He also served in the European-African and Middle East Areas. He is survived by a son Fred and his wife Theresa OConnor of Marlborough; a sister-in-law Ruth OConnor of Milford and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Wed. Aug. 20, 2014 from 8:30 | 9:30 AM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Marys Church, 19 Winter St., Milford. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale.
