Ragnar Ray Jacobsen, 75, of Bellingham passed away Tues. Aug. 19, 2014 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. He was the husband of the late Mildred A. (Ludlam) Jacobsen who died in 1990. Mr. Jacobsen had been employed as an Optical Engineer for Polaroid Corp. in Cambridge for over 27 years prior to his retirement. Ragnar was born Sept. 23, 1938 in Copenhagen, Denmark the son of the late Vilhelm and Elin M. (Thomsen) Jacobsen. He had been a resident of Blairsville, GA before returning to Bellingham in 2013. Ray was a member of the Elks Lodge in Franklin, MA and Moose Lodge in Marathon, FL. Mr. Jacobsen is survived by his daughter, Deborah A. Jacobsen of Bellingham, his niece: Linda Kremblas of Columbia, SC; two great- nieces, Brianna Kremblas of Columbia, SC and Nadine Kremblas, of Miami, FL. Also survived by 3 grandchildren; Audra Wyatt, Stephanie Jacobsen and Jessica Jacobsen and 1 great grandchild, Jacob Pelc. He was predeceased by his son; Robert Jacobsen and a grandchild Kimberly Jacobsen. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Mon. Aug. 25, 2014 from 4-7 PM in the BUMA SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St. Milford.
