Shirley M. George HOPEDALE Shirley M. (Colaianni) George, 72, of Hopedale died Monday, May 26, 2008, at her home. She was the wife of Thomas I. George. Mrs. George was the day manager at Milford Candlepin Bowling for 10 years before her retirement in 1990. She was previously employed by the former Porter Shoe Co., Grants department store and K-Mart department store, all in Milford. Mrs. George was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Milford, the daughter of the late Adam and Arlene (Sainio) Colaianni. Mr. and Mrs. George observed their 54th wedding anniversary Dec. 26, 2007. Mrs. George was an avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues. In addition to her husband, Mrs. George is survived by three sons Richard A. George of Hopedale, Charles A. George of Saipan and James M. George of Hopedale; one daughter, Joan A. Quinlan of Franklin; one brother, Matthew W. Colaianni of Milford; 15 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Thomas I. George Jr., and one brother, Adam Colaianni Jr. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home (www.bumafuneralhome .com), 42 Congress St., Milford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 29, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
