Dennis N. Romasco, 68, of Elm St. died Sun Feb 24 at Milford Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Beverly J. (Bentley) Romasco; his 3 children Gina Joiner and her husband Russ of Atlanta, GA, Dennis R. Romasco and his wife Veronica of Ocoee, FL, and Kellie Hanscom and her husband Jason of Uxbridge; 6 grandchildren Dillon, Nicholas, Lexie, Alyssa, Jesse, and Abigail; a sister Roberta M. Sherwin of Macungie, PA; and several nephews and nieces. Born in Whitinsville on Feb. 8, 1945 he was son of the late Robert F. and Lucille M. (Tancrell) Romasco and lived in Uxbridge all his life. Mr. Romasco worked as a Real Estate Agent for Vanderzicht Real Estate in Northbridge the last several years, previously working at Deruseau Real Estate in Uxbridge. Prior to this he was a Production Manager at Uxbridge Knitting Mill and M&H Yarns in Woonsocket. He also worked alongside his father at Robert F. Romasco Textile Co. where they bought and sold textile machinery worldwide. He was educated in the Uxbridge Public School system and later earned his Associates Degree at Worcester Junior College. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. Dennis was an avid sports fan. He played in the local men's softball league as well as the Tuesday night men's golf league at Blissful Meadows. Golf was his passion. He was a member of the N. Uxbridge Italian American Club and was a lifetime member of the Polish Hall, playing in their Thursday night pitch league. An avid reader, he and his wife Bev attended several concerts a yeartheir 24 hour getawaystheir very special time together. He loved his many friends, some who have been by his side over 60 years. He had a regular mourning routine. First to Dunkin Donuts for his coffee, followed by a visit to Bob's Auto, and finally on to his day. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was affectionately known to them as "Puppa Dennis". He truly enjoyed living his life to the very end. His funeral will be held Thurs. Feb. 28 with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St. Linwood. Cremation will follow. Calling hours in the Good Shepherd Church Chapel, 121 Linwood St. Linwood are Thurs.
