F. Doris Hurlbert

F. Doris (Piercy) Hurlbert, 88, of Franklin died July 25 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She was married for 62 years to Arthur W. Hurlbert who died in 2013. Born in Everett, November 18, 1926, the daughter of the late Simon and May (White) Piercy, Mrs. Hurlbert was raised in Saugus and had lived in Franklin since 1964. A homemaker, Mrs. Hurlbert had been very active in the Medway Village Church. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Christos of Westport and Barbara Hurlbert of Franklin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicholas Christos of Hermosa Beach, CA., Keith Christos of Brighton, Daniel Christos of Stoughton and Rachel Viveiros and her husband Jason of Central Falls, RI. She was the sister of the late Mark Piercy and Pearl Butt. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 1 in the Medway Village Church, 170 Village St., Medway at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Medway.
