Laura Faye Chapman

CHAPMAN Laura Faye Chapman, age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Mobile, AL surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Chapman retired from the city of Moss Point after many years of dedicated service. She was a very active member of First Church of God of Hurley, MS. and loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mickey Owens; her grandson, Brian Stringfellow; and parents, William John and Lessie Hinson Barber. Survivors include her husband, Will Chapman of Mobile, AL; her granddaughter, Joy (Rusty) Hall of Mobile, AL; 3 great-grandchildren, Drew Hall of Mobile, AL and Brianna & Brandon Stringfellow of Lafayette, LA; and her brother, Charles (Sara) Barber of Tuepelo, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 12noon until 2:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home of Moss Point, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm from the chapel of Holder-Wells Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Ivey officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Stringfellow, Rusty Hall, Drew Hall, Scott Dement, Charles Mosley, and Joe Ellzey. Interment will be in Serene Memorial Gardens of Escatawpa, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's foundation or to any charity of your choice.
