THOMAS A. GIRALDI

Thomas Austin Giraldi of Lincoln City, OR passed away November 21, 2012. He was born in Chicago, IL on February 2, 1917 to William and Louisa Giraldi.
Thomas grew up in Chicago then served in England during WWII in the US Army for which he received the Good Conduct Medal, 3 Overseas Service Bars and the European Theater Ribbon. He was proud to have served his country and was a lifelong member of the VFW and a past commander for the VFW in Wheaton, IL. He worked for the US Postal Service until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louisa, and his wife, Doris Giraldi.
He is survived by his his sons, Thomas Giraldi of Modesto, CA and James Giraldi of Chino Hills, CA; daughters, Barbara (Richard) Hopkins of Lincoln City, OR, Nancy Collins of Modesto, CA, and Diane (Greg) Pressman of Canyon Country, CA; niece, Lou Ann Schultz of Chicago, IL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Thomas will be buried at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in CA
