Cynthia Trio
March 16, 1954 - October 14, 2013
Cindy was 59 when she lost her battle with breast cancer. On October 14th she went home to be with The Lord. She was born in Modesto and lived in the area most of her life. Cindy worked for E & J Gallo in Modesto for 23 years. She moved to Santa Rosa 13 years ago to work in Healdsburg at Gallo Family Vineyards. Most recently she was attending Blackjack Dealer School to become a dealer at the new Graton Resort and Casino.
Cindy will be remembered for her zest and outgoing personality. She was her father's daughter - she was comfortable visiting and chatting with everyone. She enjoyed gatherings with friends and family, good food and wine, and occasional trips to the casino. She participated in fantasy football, played golf and had lately become a fan of reality TV. She was always ready for card games, board games and even charades and was adept at solving crossword puzzles.
Cindy was committed to being present for birthdays, communions, graduations and milestones of her nieces and nephews. In May of 2012, between debilitating chemotherapy treatments, she even attended her nephews wedding in Boston. Throughout her battle with cancer, Cindy was stoic, determined she could manage on her own. She accepted the hand she was dealt without self-pity, her courage and optimism rarely wavered.
She is survived by her siblings, Pamela Berg (Donald) of Ripon, Anne Smith (Oscar) of Fort Bragg and Raymond Perry (Kerry) of Modesto and her nieces and nephews, Erin Perry of Portland, OR; Clare Perry of Austin, TX; Ashley Malcom (Richard) of Durango, CO., Patrick Perry (Mollie) of New York, NY and Greg Holden of Durango, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Perry of Hughson and her husband, Dan Trio, of Modesto.
The family is grateful for the skilled, caring doctors, nurses and aides at Kaiser Medical Center and Hospital in Santa Rosa. And to the entire staff at Hospice House in Hughson who comforted and tried to make her last days more peaceful.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 11 am at Deegan - Ripon Memorial Chapel , 111 S. Palm Ave. Ripon, CA with a reception to follow at Spring Creek Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto 95356.
