Christina. I don't know if you will see this now. Bart and I both worked with David at Leslie's when we lived in Modesto. We stopped in to see him a few times after his stroke when we were in town to visit family. We are coming up today to visit family again so I thought of him I typed his name into google and saw this. I am so sorry he is gone. He was a good man with a great laugh. We will miss him

Christina,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have many many fond memories of him. Yes, he was my shadow. While I lived in Modesto we were always doing things together. So many good memories. He is at peace now and in a far better place. I hope you smile when you think of him because he was a good person.

I was saddened at first by the news that David had gone on to his great Reward, then imagined how happy he must be, reunited with his parents and his beloved son, Rueben, in Heaven. Dickie, David and I had a very special relationship before our lives took us on different paths. He was our "shadow" a playful title he earned. We will always remember his big smile and his eagerness to please.
Let us rejoice and keep our memories close to our hearts. They were his gift to us.
My prayers are with you, his extended family, and all those who loved our David.
