Collins, Deanna - Turlock  
Deanna Lynn Collins Aug 1964 ~ Apr 2016 Deanna Lynn Collins, 51, of Ceres, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center after her courageous battle with cancer. Deanna was born in Modesto, CA to Jack and Dolores Davis; she grew up in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School in 1982. Deanna continued her education later in life and got Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University Stanislaus. She worked seven years as bookkeeper for Boyd's Specialty Commodities. For fun, Deanna sewed and crafted with her mother, making teddy bears and clothes to sell at craft fairs. In earlier years, she loved to play softball and tennis. Deanna attended the Turlock Church of Christ and later, Davis Park Church of Christ, and loved to help and serve others. She taught many Bible classes through the years, but enjoyed the Cradle Roll age the most.  Deanna loved her family. Her favorite times were surrounded by her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her quirky sense of humor and passion for life. Deanna was preceded in death by her father Jack Davis and is survived by her mother Dolores Davis, her brother Tim Davis, and four children: Josh Collins, Caleb (Valerie) Collins, Alyssa (Salvador) Sanchez, and Kendra Collins; five grandchildren: Cameron Collins, Haylie Collins, Desmond Sanchez, Santiago Sanchez, and Liam Collins. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 7th at 11:00 am at the Turlock Church of Christ, 801 N. Tully Road in Turlock. Cruz, Francisco  
Francisco Cruz Oct 4, 1971 - Apr 26, 2016 Francisco (Pancho) Cruz passed away on April 26, 2016, he was 44. Francisco was born in Torrecillas Michoacan Mexico, was raised in Livingston and more recently made his home in Turlock. He is survived by his beloved wife Marta and was a loving father to Manuel and Alex. In addition, he leaves behind his parents Ignacio and Guadalupe Cruz, Brother Fernando Cruz from Delhi, Sister Leticia Arellano from Turlock, and Sister Monica Nava from Modesto. Francisco had a great soul with a big heart. He could be described as very unique individual. He was older in years but young at heart. He wasn't afraid to be loud and proud, and enjoyed interacting with others. Meeting him once could be enough for a solid memory. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, his coworkers and anyone else who could've had the fortune to meet him. Visiting hours will be held on May 3rd, 2016 from 4:00-6:00pm at Turlock Funeral Home followed by Rosary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 8:00pm. Carlson, John - Modesto  
John B. Carlson Oct 21, 1949 – Apr 15, 2016 John "Jack" Bernard Carlson, 66, of Modesto, California passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer, peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones. Jack was a talented union journeyman in the ceramic tile industry since the age of 15, until his retirement. He served as a teacher, supervisor, and artisan in his career. He was inducted into the US Army in August of 1969, at age 18. He served in Vietnam and Germany as a field radio relay equipment repairman. He and Margo met senior year of high school in Maywood, Illinois and started dating shortly after he left the service, were married in 1972 and started a family having two children. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, they came to California in Fall of 1987. Jack was deeply loving in his Christian faith to his wife, Margo, children, Tia Utke and Josh (Jennifer) Carlson, son-in-law, Shane Utke, beloved grandchildren Alexandria, Luke, Brielle, brothers Dale (Ilse), Gerald (Sheree), and sister Kathleen Kurth, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A service will be held at Franklin and Downs McHenry Chapel on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1pm. www.cvobituaries.com

Caron, Dorla - Turlock  
DORLA (VIVIAN) CARON MARCH 11, 1931 - APRIL 24, 2016  Dorla (Vivian) Caron, age 85, passed away Sunday, April 24th, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California due to complications from a lengthy illness. Vivian, as she was known to all, was born March 11th, 1931 in Ava, Missouri to the late Elmer Elsie and Eva Gladys Burdan. As many folks from that era did, the family moved to California in search of prosperity and to improve their way of life. The family eventually settled in Sanger, California. After attending Sanger High School, Vivian met Charles Cozby at the local Roller Skating Rink in Sanger. Vivian and Charles dated and were married on Nov. 4th, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They resided in the Fresno, California area during the early years of their marriage however, eventually made their home at Turlock, California in 1966 where they raised their children: Alan, William and Cheryl Cozby. Vivian was employed as a line worker for several years at Banquet Foods and the Hume Cannery in Turlock. Vivian and Charles parted ways later in life but lived nearby and celebrated life throughout the years with their children. In the mid 1980's, Vivian met John Caron in Turlock. They were married for a brief number of years and they too parted ways. Vivian is survived by her three children Alan (Tena) Cozby, William Cozby, Cheryl Cozby and her partner Alan Clendenin, granddaughters Sarah Davis and Kelly Cozby, Nieces Pam Howard, Paulette (Bruce) Pasternack, Jeannie (Louis) Emery, Nephews Gary Frye and Terry Fields, sister in law Beth Shelton and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer & Eva Burdan, Sisters Wanda Frye, Betty Rodgers, Brother in law Harry Frye, Nieces Dorla Frye and Elaine Branson and great nephew Leslie Frye. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at 1:00PM at Lakewood Memorial Park in the Evergreen Garden, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, California. www.cvobituaries.com
