Paul Spencer Mantor was born on June 26, 1933. He grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota where he attended his high school's NJROTC. He enlisted in the NAVY at the age of 17.  He became a member of the Navy's Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) in the Korean War from 1950-1953. He met his future wife, Patricia Ehlert, while he was in the Navy, and after his service term was over, he and Patricia settled down in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Paul and Patricia Mantor raised three children, Paul Jr., Maureen, and Chuck. Paul worked multiple jobs, such as UPS, real estate agent, but his favorite hobby  came later in life teaching at Modesto's First Tee, where he taught young children how to golf. Paul was an avid golfer; he played for many years. Paul had eight grandchildren that he loved very much and also loved to watch all of their sporting events; Softball, Baseball, Football, Swimming & Waterpolo. He loved the game of baseball and spent his last few months doing just that, watching his grandson play for UCLA. He got to visit his favorite place, Disneyland, and also got the chance to say his goodbyes to everyone.  He was very loved and left an imprint on everyone that he came in contact with. He will be missed, but his spirit will live on.
He is survived by his kids, Paul Jr. (Sally), Maureen (Glenn) Kramer, and Chuck (Joanna). Also his grandkids; Sarah, Samantha (Drew), Michael Kramer (Kristel), Stephen (Rebecca), Steven Kramer (Breana), Sean (Tanne), Shannon, and Kevin Kramer(Riley). Paul also had 4 great granddaughters that brought a lot of joy to his life; Avery, Siennah, Piper & Angelique.
His past affiliations included:  Modesto First Tee, Little League Baseball Umpire, High School Softball Umpire, Kiwanis International, P.T.A. President, American Legion Hall, Coastside Masonic Lodge #762.Donations in Paul's name made be made to The First Tee of Central Valley
