Louise Turner(1921 - 2012)

Louise Elizabeth Turner
April 8, 1921 - Nov 15, 2012
Louise Turner passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 15th, in her home surrounded by family, listening to her favorite dance music.  Louise was born in Moran, Texas to Luney Lee and Amanda Harris.  She was the youngest of their four daughters.
In 1945, she married her childhood sweetheart, Randall Dean Bills.  Her and Randall moved to California in 1956 with their two daughters, Shirley and Joyce.  They lived in Humboldt County and eventually moved to the East Bay Area until Randall passed away in 1964.
Oakdale was her home since 1970, living originally in the country, and moving into the city in 1985.  Her love of country western dancing led her to The Golden Agers and The Forever Young, Senior Dance Clubs.
It was this activity that brought Roy Campbell, a fellow club member, into her life.  Their initial friendship grew into something very special. Their relationship gave them happiness and companionship in their last years.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Shirley Bills Smallwood and Joyce Bills Macias and her husband Ralph Macias; three grandchildren, Angela Macias Weidmann, Steve Macias and Kevin Smallwood; six great-grandchildren Gabrielle and Danielle Smallwood, Dylan and Connor Macias and Jackson and Adela Weidmann.  Her loving companion, Roy Campbell, presently survives her.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday Dec. 1, 2012 at Gladys Lemmon's Senior Center, 450 East A Street, Oakdale CA. at 1:00 pm.
