William Robert Taylor, 78, entered into rest on July 19, 2013 in San Francisco, Ca. He was born on July 16, 1935 Klamoth Oregon. He joins his sister in heaven Virginia Pierson.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 15 years Angie Taylor. His son is Kerry Taylor (Syndi) and daughter Kelly Bussard (Mike), step-children; Richard Goeken, Charles Goeken (Jennifer), Kenneth Goeken (Carolyn) and Michael Goeken (Cindy). He was blessed by 13 grandchildren; McKinsey (Alex), Andrew, Eric, Evan, Adam, Marissa, James, Angelina, Anthony, Joseph, Nathan and Caitlin. He has one surviving sibling; Willa Dean (Earl) Wyckoff.
Robert was best known as "Bob" He was a resident of Escalon for 15 years. He proudly served his country through the United States Air Force. Bob made his career in the agriculture industry as a buyer for A.L. Gilbert Company for over 45 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Bob was a self-driven man who had a passion for old classic cars. He was a true perfectionist which was demonstrated through the restoring of his own classic cars from ground up. He and his wife would travel all over to display his workmanship and occasionally win a blue ribbon or two. He was a member of the Oakdale A's Car Club and the Modesto Horseless Carriage Club. Bob will be remembered for his kind and giving spirit. He will be missed.
P.L .Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Taylor family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A mass will be held on Friday July 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 19399 HWY 120 - Ripon.
