William Chisler Obituary

WILLIAM LESLIE CHISLER AUG 24, 1937 - DEC 6, 2010 William Leslie Chisler, 73 of Elk Creek, MO entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at his home. He was born on Aug. 24, 1937 in Alliance, OH the son of Jesse and Myrtle (Hiltabidle) Chisler. Bill lived in Ohio until the age of 14, he then moved to Phoenix where he met & married his first wife, the late Nanci Shannon then moving to California where they raised their five children. While living in California he worked and retired from Gallo Winery after 26 years. Bill enjoyed restoring T-birds, fishing, traveling and wood working. He was a member of Souls Harbor Church in Houston, MO. Bill will be leaving behind his beloved wife, Karen Chisler of Missouri; his children, Jesse Chisler of Merced, Jody Farmer of Turlock, Larry (Janet) Chisler of Turlock and Crystal Chisler of Denair and their late brother Billy Chisler of Phoenix, AZ; his step-children, Dwayne Bradford of Texas, Barbara Bradford of Colorado and Dave Bradford of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; his brothers, Denny Chisler and Walter Chisler of Phoenix, AZ. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at 11:00am at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, CA in the Heritage Chapel. Papa....You are missed so much by all. Thank you for all the memories. I will always share your name and that I find AWESOMMME!!!!! I am glad I was a pit stop for you and Grandma Karen on your way to CA, even though you only gave me a 30 minute heads up I was going to do whatever I could to get off work!! I enjoyed eating Mexican food and chatting. I love you and may you Rest In Peace <3

Pops, I am a chisler! Thanks for the big butt and teeth! I grew it to them! Thanks for always just being there in so many ways! Collect call to!!! "209-869-1063!" I thought it was my social for years....lol..:) T-birds bring fond memories to my soul! I have always loved the little purple plum tree in front of the house, and the foutain in the back. I must say as your grand daugher, I was always proud to say your were my grandpa from California to Arizona, to Ohio! Our family should be so proud of your hardwork, I don't know anyone who has done life better! Love ya pops 831 xoxoxo

To Karen & family you have my heartfelt sympathy for your loss.I was Bill's work partner for a number of years & I will always remember Bill as a man of integrity who was as honest as the day is long & the type a guy who was always up front .You either liked him for that or you didn't. I admired him because he was always honest & told it like it was.Bill wasn't fake he was who he was & that was that & that's why I liked & respected him so much.BILL,YOU TRULY WILL BE MISSED.
