John Ray Espinoza, son of Elizabeth Lopez, was born August 9, 1961 in San Jose, CA and passed away on September 23, 2012 with his wife Rita Espinoza by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rita, and his mother, Liz. His four sons, Ray & Kari Espinoza of Gilroy, CA, John Jr. & Kimberly Espinoza of Woodland Hills, CA, Joshua Espinoza of Modesto, CA, Anthony Espinoza of Modesto, CA, and Corina Reveles of Riverbank, CA. His three grandchildren Kaylee Espinoza, Austin Espinoza, and Ryan Espinoza. His five siblings, Jesse Salinas of Modesto, CA, Valerie Martinez of Modesto, CA, Suzy Espinoza of Sacramento, CA, Irene Salinas of Sacramento, CA, and MaryAnn Story of San Jose.
John was an avid sports fan and could be found in his spare time golfing with his brother Jesse, watching the 49ers and Giants with his wife and sons, coaching his sons in football, or beating his sons and nephews in basketball. Though he loved sports, his greatest joy in life was being a devoted husband and father, not only to his own children but also to his nieces and nephews. John will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Services will held on Thursday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel with a memorial to follow on Friday.
