Karla Jo Camicia passed away on Friday, Oct. 25 in Modesto at the age of 49. Karla was born on July 21, 1964 in Castro Valley, CA to Carl & Myrna Norton. She has been a resident of the Ceres area for the past 25 years.
Karla was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was warm and caring with an amazingly generous heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She enjoyed cooking, baking, music and anything Disney. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Karla is survived by her mother, Myrna Norton, her children: Nicole Camicia and Chris Camicia both of Ceres, her grand daughter, Makenzie Camicia and her siblings: Pamela Dunlap of Livermore and Doug Norton of Pleasanton. She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Norton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Franklin & Downs Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, November 1st at Valley View Church of the Nazarene with a viewing to begin at 9 am and the service to begin at 10 am. Interment will follow the service at Ceres Memorial Park.

Karla had the most amazing sense of humor, and a hilarious laugh. I enjoyed working with her, and will surely miss her. My condolences to Myrna, Nicole, Chris, Doug, Pam and the extended family.

I am heartbroken that you have left, but I know that heaven is rejoicing at your homecoming. I love you sweet friend and I am truly blessed that we got to reconnect after all these years. I sit here and remember our silly episodes in Mr. Glenn's 5th and 6th grade class and how we would laugh until our sides would hurt. I wish we had more time together but I know you are at peace and for that I wont be selfish. You were truly my first best friend ever and I will miss you very much.
