ADELAIDE FRITZ'' BETTENCOURT NOV 2, 1924 - NOV 28, 2010 Adelaide Fritz'' Bettencourt was born to Frank and Rosa Freitas in Los Banos, CA. At the age of 14 months she was raised by the Joe S. and Delphina Cardoza Family. Fritz graduated from Los Banos High School. On December 12, 1948 she married A.V. Bettencourt. They owned and operated the Los Banos Livestock Market for 40 years retiring in 1986. Fritz enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandsons, her best friends Geri Alves, volunteering for various organizations, hosting yard sales, gambling andmeeting new people. Anyone who had crossed paths with Fritz became an instant friend. Fritz will be missed by all who know her. She was a member of the S.P.R.S.I., P.F.S.A., Native Daughters, Y.L.I., Our Lady of Fatima, I.C.F., Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Golden Agers, Altar Society, and LUSO. She is preceded in death by her husband, A.V. Bettencourt; brothers Frank and Manuel Freitas; sister, Mary A. Silva. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Matheron (Duane), Della Rose Bettencourt, Tona Mederios (Mark); sisters, Mary Dunat, Adelaide Barcellos; brother Manuel M. Cardoza; grandchildren, Shawn Bettencourt (Ry-an), Ryan Matheron (Lindsay), Aaron Matheron, Tyke Mederios. A Visitation will be Wed. Dec. 1st at 5pm Rosary will follow at 7pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel. Mass will be Thurs. Dec. 2nd beginning at 10am St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Los Banos.
