Albertha Brown Obituary

ALBERTHA H. BROWN SEPT 5, 1918 ~ OCT 1, 2010 Albertha H. Brown passed away October 1, 2010. She was born on September 5, 1918 in Iowa to Albert and Henrietta Van Raalte. Albertha moved to California and married Melvin (Bill) Brown in 1939. They had one son, Ronald E. Brown and they moved to Ripon around 1945. She was an active member of Calvary Reformed Church until illness prevented her activity. Albertha was an excellent cook and homemaker. She took on several seasonal jobs through the years. She love to travel, she and Bill traveled to Europe, and much of the United States, Canada and Mexico. Albertha loved to visit and make friends wherever she went. Albertha was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and her husband and son. Albertha is survived by her sister Anna Marie (Everett) Fikse, daughter-in-law Jane Brown, grandchildren, Mel (Monica) Brown, Joy (Ken) Dykstra, great grandchildren, Bryson and Kyndra Dykstra, as well as nieces and nephews. Services include visitation on Wednesday, Oct 6, 2010 from 2:00-4:00pm at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Ave. in Ripon and a graveside service on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:00am atRipon Cemetery, 320 N. Stockton Rd. in Ripon.
