Alla Hendricks Obituary

ALLA MAE HENDRICKS JUL 17, 1914 - SEP 25, 2010 Alla Mae Hendricks, our beloved Mother, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, September 25, 2010, in Modesto, CA. Alla was born in Anson, Texas to parents James and Alla (Smith) Carter. Alla has been a Modesto resident since 1943. She was a bookkeeper for many years and retired from Modesto Tobacco and Candy Company. She is a long time member of Orangeburg Baptist Church. Mom was a kind, gentle and loving Christian who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bud'', son, Lawton Tex'' and daughter Pat Jones. Alla is survived by daughters Marlene Mihell, Frances Hassapakis and son James Hendricks; 15 grandchildren, 29 great granchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Friday, October 8th at 11:00 AM at Orangeburg Baptist Church, 313 E. Orangeburg Ave., Modesto, CA. Remembrances can be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA. or to Orangeburg Baptist Church, Lottie Moon Fund'', 313 E. Orangeburg Ave., Modesto, CA. 95350. Alla i will truly miss you.i am very blessed to have known you.and was able to be one of your care givers. you were my Queen of the manor.
