ARTHUR JAMES FRANKS
JULY 14, 1924 - FEBRUARY 28, 2014
Arthur Franks (Art) passed away on February 28th, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease and complications. Art was born in Oklahoma City to parents Alex Franks and Margaret Howard in 1924. Art and his family migrated to California in the 1930's. Art joined the U.S. Navy during World War II and served in the Pacific on the USS Yorktown (CV-10), the "Fighting Lady." After the war, Art met and married the love of his life, Wanda Ashley (Jo). Art and Jo celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in February. 
Art is survived by his wife Jo; his sister Maxine Waltham; son and daughter-in-law, Don & Kathy Franks; daughter & son-in-law, Linda and Ron Zoghbi; grandsons, Adam Franks & wife Shuree Franks, David Logsdon and Brian Logsdon, and granddaughter Tashia Brill & husband Andy Brill. Great grandsons Cody Brill, Tyler Brill, Quintenn Franks, and Behrett Logsdon; and great-granddaughter, Faith Franks.
Art will be greatly missed by many additional family and friends, including his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Betty Carloss; sister-in-law, Bobbie Curtright; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Paul Romer; brother and sister-in-law, John and Marilou Ashley; and many more nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a celebration of Art's incredible life for family and friends, location and time announced at a later date.
