Barbara Ballard Obituary

BARBARA PENNINGTON WOOD BALLARD FEB 21, 1936 - DEC 7, 2010 Passed away at age 74 in Vancouver, WA. She leaves her husband Robert Ballard, sons Michael (Carol), Kevin and Bart (Peggy) Wood, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a loving sister to Ora Vay Worthy of Ark., Nina Faria, Gladys Towell, Ruby Ward and Wendell Pennington, all of Modesto. Barbara was a graduate of the first class of Downey High School and she sang with the Nightingale Choir. She also sang many years with the Southern California Mormon Choir. She was preceded in death by sisters, Goldie Mosley, Sara Fay Thomas, Patty Fowler and Juanita Brians and first husband Byron Ray Wood. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will be held Mon., Dec 13th in Vancouver, WA. On Wed., Dec 15th a service will be held at the Mormon Church in Glendora, CA at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hills in Whittier, CA. www.modbee.com/obituaries
