BLANCHE CHARLOTTE PRICE APR 3, 1914 - NOV 28, 2010 Blanche Charlotte Price, 96 years of age, was born to John O. Cripe and Charlotte Cripe (Umbaugh) on April 3, 1914 in Lansing Missouri. She passed to heaven on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010. Blanche was the youngest and last surviving of her siblings: Effie Hootman (Cripe, Bauman) of Salida, John Cripe of Modesto, June Fountain of Grass Valley, Charles Cripe of Salida and Betty Samualson (Chambers, Thompson) of Modesto, CA. She is survived by her six children: Forrest Price of San Diego, CA, Charles Price and Daryl Price of Yearington, NV, Douglas Price of Wishon, CA. Lee Ockey Hanneke of Modesto and Dale Price of Oakdale, CA. She is also survived by 13 grand- children, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her husband of 69 years, Leonard Hall Price, preceded her in death in November of 2003. Blanche Price was devoted to her Christian faith and to her family. She exemplified the virtues described in the Beatitudes. She was kind, virtuous, charitable, humble, self-sacrificing and a peace- maker. She spent her life as a homemaker, administering, protecting and morally supporting her children and their descendants. Her family resided on Morrill Road close to Oakdale Road near Riverbank, CA until 1951. Thereafter, the family resided on Claribel Road and Albers Road in Oakdale, CA for 50 years. Mr. & Mrs. Price last resided at 751 River Ave. in Oakdale. Blanche and Leonard Price had many relatives and friends in the greater Modesto, Riverbank and Oakdale area. Interment will be private but a public memorial funeral service will be held on Sat. Dec. 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m at the La Loma Grace Brethern Church at 1315 La Loma Ave. in Modesto, CA.
