Charlie was my neighbor. We talked occasionally when he was out in his front yard and he was always a very pleasant person. Although I didn't know him well, I felt that he was a very brave person who fought to have his life, although wheelchair bound, be the best quality life one could have. My hat is off to you Charlie! My deepest heart felt condolences to you Diana.

we will miss Charlie. It was my pleasure to have him as my employee/roommate for a few years and I never saw him angry or say anything bad about any person whatsoever. He liked everyone and everyone liked him.

Mr.Postma was such a joy to take care of. I knew him only a short time, but in the short time i really enjoyed visiting and caring for him.

Dear Jim, Jane and Families...
I know the loss of Charlie to you all is a very sad happening. There is a quote that I hold onto since my own loss that helps me to remember to cherish each person in my life every day. It says, "When someone we love becomes a Memory, that Memory becomes a Treasure." I'm sure you have many memories to treasure about Charlie. My husband and I had many conversations with him as he worked next door as the gardener. He was a fine man.
God Bless you and comfort you all
