Dean Parshey Obituary

DEAN EDWIN PARSHEY OCT 24, 1922 - NOV 13, 2010 Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grand- father passed away after a short illness in Stanislaus County. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Chelsea J. Parshey who passed away May 7, 2010 and by grandsons, Bruce Fondse and Jacob Parshey. He is survived by daughters, Pamela Fondse of LaGrange, CA, Jane Parshey of Modesto, CA and Phillip (Dawn) Parshey of Redwood Valley, CA and grandchildren Chanel Fondse, Loren Fondse, Wendi Eaton, Cori Fondse and Joshua Parshey as well as nine great grandchildren. Dean served during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific. He and Chelsea were married September 29, 1946 and settled in Ripon,CA where they raised their family and Dean was employed as a chemist for Meyenberg Milk Company. Dean enjoyed wood crafts, music and along with his wife ran craft business for 16 years. Dean and Chelsea enjoyed the love of the Lord, family and friends. They will be truly missed by their children, family and friends. Graveside services will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA on November 19, 2010 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Community Hospice Inc., 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356. Mom and Dad, you were always an inspiration to me and gave of yourself so selflessly. I am truly honored to have had you both as parents. I miss you so much but know that you are free and having the time of your lives.
