Donald Ragsdale Obituary

DONALD DOYLE RAGSDALE JAN 8, 1937 - OCT 9, 2010 Don passed peacefully on October 9, 2010 in the company of his loving family. Don was born in Atlanta, Kansas and moved with his family to California as a child. After his service in the US Army, he worked in floor covering and operated his own business. Don enjoyed traveling and square dancing. Don is survived by his wife Sarah; daughters, Bronda (Terry) Nidey and Jacklyn Tibbetts; grandchildren, Bronika and Derek Nidey and Shantel, Chelsey and Dustin Tibbetts; and 4 great-grand- children; brother William (Claire) Ragsdale and sister Elva (Carl) Wiseman; in-laws, Helen Crow, Dave and Tiffany Simpson, Rachel Joiner, many nieces, nephews and friends. Don was preceded in death by his wife Jackie, his parents Rease and Goldie Ragsdale, and brothers, Kenneth, Wayne and Phil Ragsdale. Services will be held at Salas Brother Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA. Visitation on Thursday, October 14 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and a memorial service on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with interment following at Ceres Cemetery. FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO TELL TWO OF MY FAVORITE COUSINS.BRONDA AND JACKLYN.IM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR FATHER AND ONE OF MY FAVORITE UNCLES.UNCLE DON IM SO SORRY I DIDNT MAKE THE SERVICES.I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT IT TILL MY LITTLE BRO RANDY CAME AND FOUND ME UP HERE IN SONORA.I COULDNT BELIEVE IT.WE WENT DOWN ON SUNDAY.SEEN PAM LYNN AND AUNT DOROTHY RAGSDALE.IFILL.SO BAD NOT BEING THERE.RANDY SHOWED ME PICTURES OF WHO ALL SHOWED UP.ALL OUR COUSINS. AND AND WHAT FEW AUNTS AND UNCLES WE HAVE LEFT.IT REALLY HURTS ME SO MUCH EVERY TIME WE LOSE ONE OF OUR FAMILY MEMBERS.WE HAD SOME OF THE BEST TIMES GROWING UP TOGETHER.WE WERE REALLY BLESSED TO HAVE GREAT HARD WORKING HONEST PARENTS GROWING UP.EVEN WHEN WE DIDNT SEE EYE TO EYE ALOT OF TIMES.UNCLE DON WAS A GREAT MAN HE LOOKED GREAT THE LAST TIME I SEEN HIM.WE TALKED FQR 2-3HRS.I GONNA MISS MY UNCLE DON SO MUCH.I GO VISIT HIM WHEN I GO TO SEE MY MOM AND DAD.AT THE CEMERTERY.I LOVE YOU GUYS AND MISS YOU.
