DONALD LYLE PERKINS JUNE 20 1948- JUNE 9 2009 Donald Lyle Perkins of Modesto, CA, formerly of Piedmont, CA passed away on June 9, 2009. Don was born June 20, 1948. He graduated from Piedmont High School in 1966, and was named athlete of the year. He also attended Laney Jr. College where he was an All-American Quarterback, and San Jose State University where he continued to excel at football. Don was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Modesto, CA and a member of Free and Accepted Mason's of Los Gatos, CA. Don's joy in life was his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Perkins of Modesto, CA, his daughter Kandi (Ken) Presson of Stockton, CA, his son Kenneth (Barbara) Allen of Stockton, CA, his mom, Rev. Patt Perkins of Claremont, CA, his brother Tom (Cathy) Perkins of Oakland, CA, his sister Terri Price of Fairfax, VA, his sister Denise (Tony) Cardenas of Modesto, CA, three brother-in-laws & three sister-in-laws from Kansas and Arkansas, five grandchildren and their spouses, seven great-grand children (plus one on the way), thirteen nephews and nieces, and many more close family and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 12:00 at Evins Funeral Home, 1219 7th Street, Modesto, CA. No flowers please.
