Dovie Rosa Obituary

DOVIE LEE ROSA Jan 20, 1931 - Dec 22, 2010 Born to Isreal and Ruby Pillows in Groveton, Texas. Moved to Modesto in 1949, where she met and married the love of her life, Edmund Rosa. They had four girls: JoAnn Bertolotti (John), Joyce Lind (David), Judy Rosa, and Jean Ramirez (Chris). She was a telephone operator, home- maker, babysitter, and assisted the elderly prior to her being disabled. Dovie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and two brothers. She is survived by her sister Alta Mayer, her four daughters, nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She was a caring, loving person who also took the time to listen. She will be missed by all whose heart she touched throughout her life. Viewing will be on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive in Modesto from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at St. Stanislaus Cemetery on Scenic Drive in Modesto at 10:00 a.m. www.modbee.com/obituaries

Dovie, Mondays are going to be empty without you. So glad I had those hours alone with you at the hospital so I could tell you everything I wanted to make sure you knew. I am so glad you are "dancing with Jesus" now. Love you so much. Thank You Lord for dropping me into Dovie's life all those years ago!
