Edward Ogden Obituary

EDWARD AARON OGDEN AUG 21, 1925 - SEP 24, 2010 Ed Ogden passed away peacefully on September 24, at the age of 85 with family by his bedside. He was the beloved husband of 42 years to Ellen Nora Josephine Ogden and loving father to Susan Lorraine Foster, of Waterford, Ca.; Edward Aaron Ogden Jr. (Skip) of Vancouver, WA. and Dawne Marie Page of San Diego, Ca. Ed leaves behind 10 grand- children and 12 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, numerous nephews and nieces. Ed was born in Mancelona, Michigan and served in the US Navy during World War II. He came to California after the war and worked as a logger and trucker before choosing the Title business as his life long career. He established several Title Plants in California and one in Washington state before retiring. He was an avid sportsman who loved the outdoors and always looked forward to the next hunting or fishing trip. He enjoyed working on all types of machinery and was a skilled woodworker. At the age of 82 he completed a degree in technical computer repair. His life has been a living embodiment of Winston Churchill's statement, ''NEVER, EVER GIVE UP.'' Visitation for family and friends will begin at 4:00 P.M. September 29, at Salas Brothers in Modesto. Services will begin at 10:00 A.M. September 30, at Salas Brothers. Committal will be at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Salvation Army or the Modesto Gospel Mission. www.modbee.com/obituaries
