Nola, Beth, Joel, Felicia, Monica and Virginia,
Jane, Karen and I offer our sincere sympathy on Ed's passing. The girls remember him as a loving and playful father. I will always remember Ed as a brilliant thinker. Our times together will always hold special memories. Our thoughts are with all of you.

Nola, Beth, Joel & Family:
Jeffrey and I were very sorry to read about the death of Ed. Both of us have lost loved ones and know from experience how hard it is to accept the reality of death. Our hearts go out to you in your time of healing.

Ed was a valued and cherished ministerial colleague whom I remember fondly as a man of great compassion, wisdom and justice. While I was still a seminary student in California, he provided encouragement and opportunity for me to engage my developing pastoral and ministerial gifts. He was kind, honest and always there. Although he struggled at times with his vocation, he held a strong sense of "God with him." I ministered to Ed upon the death of his father, a man whom he loved deeply. Ed and I spoke on the phone just two weeks before his death. As always, he was open and engaging, reflective and warm. I had the sense then he was saying "goodbye," but I did not fully realize the finality of the moment. I will miss him greatly. My prayers and condolences to his family at this time of loss and grief. May the peace of God envelope you.
