Ethel Butler Obituary

ETHEL BUTLER JAN 4, 1934 - DEC 21, 2010 Ethel Butler, 76 passed away surrounded by her family and friends at Memorial Hospital after a life long battle with her emphasemia. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she moved to Akron as a child. She relocated with her late ex-husband to Oakland, CA, to help with his family business where she recieved her certificate in Bookkeeping and worked for the courts of California. Soon After she gave birth to Rodney Butler and Linda Butler. She moved to Modesto, CA in 1995, where she became an active part of helping her son with his ministries. Holding Bible studies at her home everyweek. She became a member of Big Valley Grace Church and a student of the Bible Study Fellowship Ethel lived a full and happy life, doing the things she loved and enjoyed. She travel the world, made life long friends. Always strong and independant she ministerd to anyone about her love for God and now shes home to be with him. She leaves to cherish her memory, Willie Bobie'' Brooks, Louise Driggs, Lula Brooks, Myrtle (Eddie) Swain. Her daughter Linda Butler of Modesto, CA ; grandson Jabari Butler of Sacramento, CA; grandson Antione Thomasson of Modesto, CA; and granddaughter Desha Wright of Modesto Ca. Also two great-granddaughters, Promise and Sasha Butler of Sacramento, CA. Wake will be: Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 1pm-4pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be: Thursday, December 30, 2010 @ 10am at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. I had the privilege of knowing dear Ethel in Bible Study Fellowship. She always had praise for God and encouraging words for everyone. What a precious sister in Christ. I look forward to the day I will see her again!

Aunti, You were such a loving person, so soft spoken and gentle. Always had positive things to say. I know you are in a much better place, waiting on the rest of us.
