Eva Charlotte Anderson Olson Kling

EVA CHARLOTTE ANDERSON OLSON KLING MAY 24, 1917 - NOV 21, 2010 Our beloved Mother, Eva Olson Kling, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Stratford Assisted Living in Modesto with her loving family by her side. Eva was born on the family farm in Hilmar, California, the youngest of seven children born to Oscar and Tilda Anderson. On February 28, 1937, Eva married her first love, George Leonard Olson, and together they had three children, Larry Dean Olson (Alice), Karen Charlotte Lee (Roger), and Robert Leonard Olson (Andrea). During her marriage to George, who was employed by Well's Fargo Bank, Eva lived in Modesto, Santa Rosa, Tracy, and Fairfield. George passed away at the age of sixty, and five years after being widowed, Eva married Leon Kling. In Modesto, Eva was a faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, was active in John Muir PTA, serving as President, and in the Exchangettes. After moving to Tracy, Eva again became an active and enthusiastic member of the Lutheran Church and PTA. After three years, George was transferred to Fairfield, where Eva resided thirty-two years. She became a devoted member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. In Fairfield, her volunteer activities included the Hospital Guild and countless volunteer hours for the Irwin Memorial Blood Bank Eva joined the Wednesday Club and Cowbells and her delight was singing with the Dulcetones vocal group. Eva happily lived the last seventeen years of her life in Modesto. Eva is survived by her three children and six grandchildren, Cyndie Lee Long, Timothy Lee, Charlotte Olson Kelley, Debra Olson, Suzanne Olson O'Keefe, Jason Heath Olson, and many great-grandchildren. She was admired and adored by her family and was a trusted and loyal friend to all who knew her. A private burial Wednesday, December 1, 2010 will be held at Rockville Cemetery, Suisun, California where Eva will join George. Memorial Service will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Modesto on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 2:00pm.
