Flora Rissetto Obituary

FLORA S. RISSETTO NOV 24, 1921 - JAN 4, 2011 Flora Rissetto died peacefully after a long illness on January 4, 2011. Flora was born in Guadalajara, Mexico to Augustine and Maria Sandoval on November 24, 1921. Flora lived most of her life in the Riverbank/Oakdale area. On April 2, 1946 Flora married Albert Rissetto and they owned a peach and walnut ranch that she continued to run with her two sons after her husband's death. Flora especially enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was happiest when her home was filled with family and friends enjoying the dinners she cooked. Flora is survived by her sons Abby and Ray Rissetto both of Oakdale. A nephew Jack Rissetto of Modesto that lived with Flora and Albert through his high school years. A brother Sammy Sandoval of Riverbank, and a sister Carmen Green of San Bernardino. Flora had one grandson, six granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Rissetto, a granddaughter Holly Rissetto, a grandson Ryan R. Rissetto, and five brothers. A funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on January 14, 2011 at 10:00 A. M. A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Flora may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, Ca. 95356 or St. Mary's Planning and Maintenance at St. Mary's Church, 1225 Olive Ave., Oakdale, Ca. 95361 www.modbee.com/obituaries
