Garry Charles Wey

Garry Charles Wey, 63, passed away at his home in Oakdale on Monday, August 12th. Gary was born to Ransom and Verna Wey of Riverbank where he attended public school. He was in the first graduating class of Riverbank High in 1968. After graduation, he  enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his Country in Vietnam as a Heavy Equipment  Maintenance Mechanic. After his honorable discharge from the service, he began his career in the Automotive Repair Industry, where he retired from Bill Collins Auto Repair in Ceres. While in school, he was one of two who participated in the Plymouth Regional Trouble Shooting Contest held in Fresno.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Douglas. He is survived by his brothers Steven and Jeffrey, both of Modesto and Roger (Daylene) of Oakdale. He also leaves behind two sisters Donna (Carroll) Hendrix of Oregon and Cindy (Hank) Ingle of Modesto. He is also survived by his companion of 17 years Isabelle Manthei and her son Brian. He also leaves numerous nephews and nieces. 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 19th, with funeral services on Tuesday, August 20th at 10:00 am, both at the Riverbank Memorial Chapel, 3131 Santa Fe, Riverbank, with burial following at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
