Glenna Marie Flora

GLENNA MARIE FLORA JAN18, 1929 - OCT 22, 2010 FLORA, Glenna Marie, only daughter of Walter and Mary (Driver) Wise, was born in Modesto, California, January 18, 1929. She was received into the presence of the Lord on October 22, 2010. Glenna was a native of California and loved to share her stories of growing up in the small farming town of Modesto, during the pre and post W.W. II days. She graduated from Modesto High School and went on to become a much sought after florist. Her back yard shop was a haven of beauty and personal attention. We all loved to be there. She married Hubert Flora of Covington, Ohio on March 15, 1947. They were married by her Uncle, Elder Orlando Blickenstaff, at the home of her maternal grandparents. They were blessed with two sons, Jonathan Jay and Rodney Don, who were raised on the ranch they occupied on BlueGum for over 50 years. Theirs was a home of hospitality and beauty, only exceeded by the love that was shown there. Our Mom loved the Lord, and committed her life to Him at the age of 16. Her faith remained steadfast and immoveable. She was a charter member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church at West Modesto. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband 4 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, several Aunts and Uncles, who were very dear to her. She leaves to mourn, her children, Jonathan and Beverly, Rodney and Maureen. Grandchildren, Mike and Dana Flora..Caleb, Troy, Braden, and Elly; Doug and Lori Flora...Grant, Justin and Katelyn; Heather and Jason Brubaker..Maebrianna and Olivia; Heath and Melodie Flora...Lacey; Anita Flora, Brian Flora, Garreth and Jennifer Flora, David & Jennifer Flora...Kate Elizabeth; also surviving is her only brother, Roland Wise of Quinter, KS, and several brothers-and sisters-in-law of Ohio and Indiana, and a host of precious nieces and nephews, who always knew her as a special aunt.
